I believe that good design changes how we interact with the world. Design helps make information more understandable, relatable, or even exhilarating. I work to make lives better through harnessing the power of good design: I'm at my best when I refine and execute the design strategy of organizations with a vision for impact and change.
I dedicated ten years to the creative direction of the first major American art museum to open in the last 60 years—and the first to be placed outside of a major metropolitan area. 7 years in, we also opened a satellite contemporary art space, the Momentary.
We had a lot to prove to the art world and our community. Ten years in, we welcomed over 600,000 each year in a region of only 500,000 residents. Early on, Crystal Bridges conducted a study of our impact on children who visited the museum: the results show the life-changing potential that good design can help unlock.
In the fall of 2020 I moved to Denver, Colorado, and began working on the internal design team at Maxar, a global space infrastructure and earth intelligence company. It was a fascinating transition, to be a part of a company that has unparalleled capabilities in Earth’s orbit and beyond—and who also helps with emergency disaster response, furthers climate change and conservation work, as well as providing global transparency.
I am incredibly grateful for my time at Crystal Bridges, the Momentary, and Maxar. I’m proud of the work I’ve done, and I’m eager to leverage this experience to tackle new design challenges.
