Border Cantos

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Border Cantos: Sight and Sound Explorations from the Mexican-American Border, is a unique collaboration between American photographer Richard Misrach and Mexican American sculptor/composer Guillermo Galindo. This exhibition uses the power of art to explore and humanize the complex issues surrounding the United States-Mexico border.

DESIGN GOALS
This exhibition was an idea created by two artists in collaboration, reaching across the border of two countries. I created the identity, gallery, and marketing design materials, focusing on abstracted, uneven lines that depict the border and the complex conversation around it.

Exhibition Wayfinding

Crystal Bridges is a complex set of buildings with architecture that is overwhelming when initially interacting with it. Over the years we have studied guests and developed a system that either stands in contrast to the architecture or blends into the forms but is set apart visually. “Floor-finding,” in particular, has been an essential staple for us.
